시스템반도체 설계에 있어 IP 사용은 빠른 개발과 함께 설계하고자 하는 칩의 고유 기능 개발에 집중할수 있는 가장 효율적인 방법입니다. 시스템반도체 Foundary의 새로운 Technology 라인 설계시에도 사용 가능한 IP의 확보가 계속 증가하고 있습니다. 하지만 핵심 IP의 경우 해외 기술에 상당부분 의존하고 있는 실정이며, 이는 중소 팹리스 기업의 개발비 증가와 함께 COP (Concept of Product)의 빠른 검증에 많은 제약의 원인이 되고 있습니다. 이에 국내 Foundary를 위한 핵심 IP 자체 보유와 비영리 또는 국가 과제를 통해 개발된 연구 결과물의 IP 상용화 기술 개발에 관한 국가 R&D 지원의 중요성이 크게 대두되고 있고, 본 키노트에서는 이러한 기술 개발 방향에 대해 이야기 하고자 합니다.

In this talk, SemiFive will talk about what we have delivered towards that goal, including SiFive’s cloud-based RISC-V core and chip designer to deliver customized processor cores as a service, the DesignShare program to enable customers to easily discover, validate and use 3rd party IPs in their SoC, and the foundry support to turn their designs into test chips and production.

LogicFlash® is a single-poly embedded non-volatile memory (eNVM) technology with 10K endurance at the lowest implementation cost. This technology is fully compatible with logic, mix-signal, BCD, SiGe and HV process without additional masks. LogicFlash® cell consists of 2T1C (2PMOS + 1Capacitor). It uses channel hot-electron injection into the floating gate (CHEI) to program and turn on the channel of the p-type Floating gate. And it uses Fowler-Nordheim (F-N) Tunneling to erase and turn off the cell. LogicFlash® generally support Chip Erase and Sector Erase, and Byte Erase for some specific application. LogicFlash® features super fast program (~60us/byte), fast read (up to 25MHz at high temperature).Typically LogicFlash® support 10K P/E cycles, but it can also be specially designed to achieve 100K P/E cycle times. Data retention could support 10 years at 85℃ (3.3V gate oxide) and over 10 years at 125℃(5V gate oxide). LogicFlash® has a broad range of applications, including MCU, OIS controller, USB type-C controller, PMIC, wireless charger, touch panels etc. The core functionality of LogicFlash® technology makes it ideal for setting system parameters, code storage or data storage for different chips in a single system. It could be used to replace traditional external SPI flash and EEPROM. LogicFlash® could also be designed to meet automotive grade qualification.

In this talk, we'll discuss what features & benefits that Arm's Cortex-M23 and M-33 processors can bring to developers and share use cases from different verticals. Arm's Cortex M-33 processors are set to become the general-purpose 32-bit MCU processor of choice for securing embedded applications. It is the first full-featured implementation of Armv8-M with TrustZone security technology and digital signal processing capability. It delivers an optimal balance between performance, power, security, and productivity, that means systems can efficiently process algorithms, yet leverage the advantages of the Cortex-M 32-bit processor family. We'll elaborate on how M-33 processor will help to build a security foundation, add floating point and DSP, hence, to differentiate your product with Software Isolation.
